Ferrocarril Metropolità de Barcelona (FMB) - Metro
This entity manages the metro network, composed of six lines that provide direct services to the city of Barcelona and other municipalities of the conurbation through its 87 km of network. Below is some basic data for 2008:

Renfe Rodalies

Tramvia Metropolità (TRAM)
The awardee company for trams in Barcelona. There are two tram networks (Trambaix and Trambesòs) with a total of six lines and 56 stations that provide direct services to Barcelona and other municipalities in the central conurbation. Below is some basic data for 2008:

Ferrocarril de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC)
FGC manages 13 lines in the metropolitan area of Barcelona (RMB) and in Lleida. Its mission is defined as follows: to manage with efficiency and effectiveness the services and the infrastructures that have been assigned to them as a public company, with an aim to contributing to improving mobility in Catalonia. BcnRail Show (Fira de Barcelona)
This International Railway Industry Show gives representative companies from the sector the opportunity to present their projects and products with the purpose of highlighting the importance of the railway for economic and social development. The previous edition of this show welcomed more than 7,000 visitors that were able to discover the features of the Madrid light metro, the Urbos light metro of Seville, the CIVIA and the new metro from the 9000 series that will circulate, without a driver, along the future line 9 of the Barcelona metro.
