The 23rd Alamys General Assembly will be held in Barcelona from 29 November to 3 December 2009. The Assembly is being organised by the city’s rail operators: Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Tramvia Metropolità and Renfe Rodalies as well as by the Alamys General Secretariat.
The main goal of the Assembly is to bring together and consolidate the exchange of experiences, needs and projects required to improve services in rail transport systems. The plenary sessions will be held within the framework of the International Railway Industry Show BcnRail, in the Gran Vía exhibition centre of Fira de Barcelona that will include a commercial sample of the rail industry for those attending the event.
This year, as in previous years, we anticipate the participation of senior managers and representatives from organisations from Latin American countries and the Iberian Peninsula that have metropolitan rail systems that transport large numbers of passengers as well as companies and associations that unfold associated activities.
The General Assembly aims principally to:
Discuss the benefits of metro and tram systems in urban areas.
Exchange experiences regarding efficiency of services.
Provide tools in order to make good use of the resources available.
Facilitar les eines per aprofitar els recursos disponibles.
Bring together different companies in order to discuss the different projects in development.
As well as working to achieve high professional interest in the Assembly’s Accommodation, we are also placing an emphasis on the social Accommodation that we hope those attending will enjoy. Thus, we invite you to participate in the Assembly and, moreover, to get to know our city, Barcelona.
It will be a great pleasure for us to welcome you.
